Session March 29
Hi there all,
Caellin's going to be hosting a Dunedin Uke Club session this coming Sunday, 29 March.
From 1 - 3pm Room 208 in the King Edward Court building (Stuart Street - the old Polytech).
Cost is $2. Bring your uke and a smile.
Normally I'd be very jealous of you all getting together and having a jam since I'm out of the country, but am consoling myself with my FREE ticket to the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain gig at the Oxford Folk Festival. Did I mention the ticket is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RSVP Caellin at one_fried_chicken@hotmail.com
Have a good session,
Justine

Session #2 25 people this time, which was brilliant – and a whole bunch of new people too. It’s really exciting to see all you uke-enthusiasts!
We’ll be in touch re 2009. Justine is away till April, but hopefully the group will continue.
Anyway, enough with the words and on with the pictures. Have a great Christmas and New Year, and keep uke-ing!

Dunedin Ukulele Club - 1st session
25.11.08
The Dunedin Ukulele Club has been born! Sunday 23 November will go down as an historic moment in Dunedin’s musical history.
We had a fantastic turn out of 18 people (plus Mira and Sofia who got a bit mixed up with the time) and everybody had a blast. We did well – 3 chords and a whole lot of songs, including “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” in three parts!
For posterity, the foundation members of the Dunedin Ukulele Club are: Justine ~ Roberta ~ Noel ~ Suze ~ Phoebe ~ Caellin ~ Amber ~ Ali ~ Helen ~ Isabella ~ Sophie ~ Laura ~ Katie ~ Nicola ~ Liberty ~ Lou ~ Rosalind ~ Sam ~ Mira ~ Sofia
Our next session will be Sunday 14 December, 1 – 3pm in Room 208, King Edward Court. Email or text me to book in (dunedinukulele@gmail.com or text 021 1337806). Cost is $2 per person per session to cover photocopying. Bring your uke (we do have a couple of loaners if you’re stuck), a music stand (if you have one), a folder and a smile :)
Here are the photos I took of our first session. Long may the Dunedin Ukulele Club continue!
